Back in 2013 I began writing a story idea. Now it has evolved into a full blown novel that is almost complete. I expect it to be available on amazon by the end of 2016. Here is the blurb, and below that a link to the artwork that I commissioned to be the cover (BTW, Ina Wong proved to be an excellent artist and very friendly to work with - if your looking for an artist to do a commission, then I strongly recommend her).
The Roman Republic - 133 BC
The Roman Senate rules Italy. The Alpine mountain range gives its people the illusion of safety while its citizens live, love and laugh in peace.
At sunrise, Julia's life consisted of friends, family and keeping the identity of her lover a secret. By nightfall, it had all been torn from her. As tribal raiders burn her home to the ground, she is forced into chains as a slave. The deaths of everyone she knew leaves a deep scar on her heart, one that demands retribution. As the slave caravan takes her north into unknown territory, she offers the gods what little she has left - even her flesh - in exchange for revenge.
But the heart is not easily controlled. She soon finds herself at the mercy of Saxa, an innocent young woman who’s mischievous charm she can barely resist - sister to the same warriors who slaughtered her friends and family. Revenge will not be given. It must be taken, at a price.
Meanwhile, a young nobleman refuses to accept things as they are, and begins a plot to have the captives brought home, no matter the cost.
